Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of Ember, the AI dating wingman app. By creating a reply or opener, or by subscribing, you're agreeing to them.

01Acceptance of these terms

Ember is made available by the developer of the Ember iOS app ("we", "us"). By downloading, opening, or using Ember, or by subscribing to Ember Premium, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

02Who can use Ember

Ember is intended for people 17 years of age or older. The app deals with dating conversations and adult social contexts, and it isn't directed at children. If you're under 17, please don't use Ember.

We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have, we'll delete it — see the Children's Privacy section of the Privacy Policy.

03What the app does

Ember helps you respond to and open dating conversations. Two things it does:

Both features send what you submit to a third-party AI model to generate the suggestion — see Third-party services below. Nothing you generate is saved anywhere unless you tap Save.

04Your content

"Your content" means anything you upload, paste, or type into Ember — conversation screenshots, pasted text, bios, and context you provide.

You keep ownership of your content. By submitting it, you give us (and the AI/infrastructure providers we use to run the app, listed in Third-party services) permission to process it for the sole purpose of generating your reply or opener, and — only if you tap Save — storing it in your history so you can find it again.

You're responsible for what you submit. Don't upload a conversation, screenshot, or bio that isn't yours to share, or that contains someone else's sensitive information beyond what's reasonably needed to get a reply.

05AI-generated output

Replies and openers are written by an AI model based on what you submit. They're suggestions, not guarantees — the model can misread context, get facts wrong, or produce a tone that doesn't land the way you expect.

You decide what to actually send. Ember never sends anything on your behalf; you always copy the suggested text and choose whether, and how, to use it. Review it before sending.

06Acceptable use

Please don't use Ember to:

To keep the service usable for everyone, generation requests are rate-limited per account (a small number of generations per minute, and a daily cap). This is an anti-abuse measure, not a marketed feature, and may change without notice.

07Subscriptions & billing

Ember's AI features require an active Ember Premium subscription, billed through your Apple ID via the App Store. Plans currently offered:

Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the price above until you cancel. Your Apple ID account is charged within 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel any time in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your device, or via the "Manage" button in Ember's own Settings tab — at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid being charged for the next period.

Prices are shown in the app in your local currency and may vary by region. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we never see or store your card details. Refunds are governed by Apple's own policies, not by us — request one through reportaproblem.apple.com.

08Third-party services

Ember is built on top of a few outside services. Each only receives what it needs to do its job:

ServiceWhat it's used for
Wiro.aiRuns the AI model that reads your conversation/bio and writes the suggested reply or opener.
Firebase (Google)Anonymous sign-in, storing your saved history and account record, and running the server-side functions that talk to Wiro.ai.
RevenueCatManages your subscription state (which plan is active) on our behalf.
Apple (App Store)Processes your subscription payment.

More detail on what each of these sees is in the Privacy Policy.

09Your account & deleting it

Ember doesn't ask you to create a password or hand over an email — you're signed in anonymously the moment you open the app, identified only by a random account ID.

You can permanently delete your account and everything tied to it — saved history, your account record — at any time from Settings → Delete account. This can't be undone. Deleting your account doesn't automatically cancel an active subscription; cancel it separately in your Apple ID subscription settings if you don't want it to renew.

10Intellectual property

The Ember app itself — its design, code, and branding — belongs to its developer. You don't get any rights to it beyond using the app as intended. The replies and openers Ember generates for you are yours to use as you like.

11Suspension & termination

We can suspend or terminate your access to Ember if you violate these terms, particularly the acceptable-use rules in Section 6. You can stop using Ember, or delete your account, at any time.

12Disclaimers

Ember is provided "as is." We don't guarantee the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI-generated suggestions will be accurate, appropriate, or effective for your situation. You use suggestions at your own discretion — see AI-generated output above.

13Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Ember, including anything that results from a message you chose to send based on an AI-generated suggestion. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

14Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app changes. If we make a material change, we'll update the "Effective" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Ember after a change means you accept the updated terms.
